Vernacare is working together with NHS Supply Chain to offer Trusts best value on its infection prevention products.

Vernacare's Senset Skin Cleansing Foam has been awarded sole supplier status by NHS Supply Chain and is available at a saving of up to 11.2% from 1 December 2008. 

Senset offers incontinent patients comfort care and dignity while reducing cross infection risk. It is clinically proven to help maintain the integrity of healthy skin for incontinent patients, loosening dried on soiling without the need to rub skin and so helping to avoid skin breakdown.  Due to its high 'wetting out' properties the cleansing foam gently loosens and lifts soiling, making cleaning quicker and more comfortable for the patient.

Senset removes the need to use soap and water, which can result in the drying and breakdown of skin. Its directional spray gives nurses better control and prevents spillages associated with soap and water. The product's high water repellent barrier protects skin from acid effects of urine and prevents dermatitis developing from damp skin.

 Using Senset It is possible to wipe on and wipe off using only two hand movements, which reduces the chances of infection and cross infection, while cleansing the patient quickly. The product contains a long acting deodorant which makes patients' and nurses' lives more pleasant. 

It is PH balanced with high levels of emollients and moisturisers. It also contains a silicone barrier to protect against rewetting and subsequent skin breakdown. This reduces the need for expensive barrier creams and cleanses and protects sore, sensitive, dry or damaged skin.
